This position works collaboratively with the facility Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Chief Medical Officer (CMO), appointed representatives of the CNO/CMO, and users of clinical information systems at the facility.

Acts as the key point of contact between clinical leaders and Information Systems Clinical Initiatives in developmental, implementation and production environments.
Provides leadership, facilitates and enables the planning, development, maintenance and evaluation of clinical information systems and workflow with representatives of the Facility.
Works in concert with counterparts at other facilities throughout the health system including Knowledge Driven Care (KDC), Customer Relationship Managers (CRMs) and Project Managers (PMs), including oversight responsibility for the Information Services side of KDC within the facility.
Uses the knowledge and skills of clinical practice to determine clinical functions suitable for computer application and to ensure information systems are consistent with professional standards of clinical practice and that Information Services leadership is aware of these needs.
Requires a minimum of a BSN with current Indiana State licensure (or the ability to obtain a current license); MSN preferred.
Requires advanced degree in healthcare informatics/information science; or equivalent training and work experience in healthcare informatics.
Requires bedside nursing experience that is typically acquired through three to five years of progressive nursing experience; preferably in an academic or teaching environment.
Requires experience that is typically acquired through three to five years of working in a clinical information systems environment and familiarity with process/performance improvement methodologies; implementing change; risk assessments; and gap analysis.
Requires a proven and effective track record of interacting at the senior executive level.
Previous management and/or performance improvement experience is preferred.
Requires Cerner Millennium or equivalent clinical vendor product experience.
Requires strong computer skills.
Requires a demonstrated ability to be self-directed with excellent organizational; analytical; writing; interpersonal and project management skills.
