Specialty EMTC SNE Program Positions
Real Nursing. Real-World Experience.
The Clarian Health Student Nurse Extern
Program
As you prepare for a career in nursing, there is nothing more valuable than the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a real-world, clinical environment. The Student Nurse Extern (SNE) Program at Clarian Health offers a unique opportunity to learn and develop your nursing skills in a hands-on setting. You’ll work directly with patients and professional staff at one of the largest and busiest health care systems in Indiana.
Get paid to work and earn money for school.
The SNE Program offers both supplemental and part-time opportunities, with flexible scheduling to accommodate your school schedule. There are several levels of scholarship available.
SNEs receive benefits such as shift/holiday premiums, referral eligibility and free attendance at Clarian educational programs.
We take only the best, most motivated students.
Because the SNE Program offers such a valuable experience, the positions are highly coveted and the competition to be accepted into the program is intense. We are looking for the best and most motivated nursing students to fill these positions.
Requirements to apply:
- You must have completed at least one full semester of nursing clinicals and be attending an accredited school of nursing.
- SNE positions require a year-round work commitment and have unit-specific hours-worked requirements. We do not offer summer-only positions.
*Note: A specialty SNE Program for the Emergency Medical Trauma Center at Methodist Hospital is a summer-only externship with a specific set of eligibility criteria. See below for details.
- You must be able to attend five business days of SNE orientation and one day of hospital orientation.
- Clarian IU School of Nursing Accelerated BSN scholarship recipients receive priority consideration.
